Lyme Heartbeat are delighted to announce the installation of a twelfth defibrillator in Lyme Regis at the entrance to Timber Vale Caravan Park, increasing coverage across the town. A cardiac arrest can happen to anyone at any time and the use of a defibrillator and CPR within the first few minutes can improve the chances of the patient surviving significantly.
Rob James from Lyme Heartbeat thanked local electrician Richard Moses for installing the device and the owners of Timber Vale Caravan Park who kindly offered to fund the purchase of the unit.
The unit is situated on the wall of the reception building and is accessible to the public 24/7. In the event of a suspected cardiac arrest, please call 999 and you will be directed to the nearest defibrillator.
